The event is being prepared taking into account the wishes expressed on the results of the 1st conference “EAF steel production”, which was held successfully in February, 2017. In the view of participants, the leading experts’ presentations considering practical issues of exploiting and servicing arc steel-melting furnaces help to find solutions directed to increasing efficiency of the process, reducing the costs and providing a safe work of the unit. It was also recognized as really useful opportunity to discuss the existing problems in the professional audience. Practically all participants spoke out in favor of making the conference on electric steel regular. The given proposal was supported by the Association “Russian Steel” which once again acts as the main partner of the event.

The conference is oriented on technical leaders and experts of enterprises and steel-melting shops where EAF are used (electric steel-melting shops at metallurgical plants, mini-mills, continuous casting machine and rolling complexes, enterprises of special steels and of special metallurgy).
